khoop divas ekhada Manogat vyakta kela nahiye ...
vel navhta milat ...pun he manogat maatra ...aajach lihava ...asa vaatla ... i was jus crossing the road yes'day ... coming back from bandra n..there was this cute little girl (abt 10 yrs old)...sellin balloons ..possibly as dirty a girl as u can imagine ...
a girl to whom WE THE SO CALLED EDUCATED ppl ...wud close the window of our cars.. to avoid the nuisance ... nd she wasnt begging to ne1 to buy it ...
surprisingly !if the ugly can be beautiful ... and the beautiful can be ugly...then she was UGLY ... ...a famous quote says..
" beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" ..but i've always thot that its more abt ...
the grace ...the zeal ... than nething ...and it genuinely is about how a person carries himself/herself... n thats what this girl was all about ... if u r poor ...and u can still flaunt the way u r living with a grace ...in a royal sense ...then i guess thats BEAUTIFUL ... she had a bunch of balloons in her hand ... there were 3 balloons one inside another in each one of them ...first was a heart ...then inside dat was ...
another smaller heart ...and inside that ...were a couple ...made out of even smaller balloons ...dancing with each other ...i was stunned at the art ...how they made it possible ... m still wondering how the person who made it managed to keep them one inside another ...i hv seen 2 balloons ...one inside another many times ... agreed...that they hv air pumps ...but still ..and a boy and a girl ...made out of small balloons ...it was amazing ... then i asked that girl ...who made the balloons ...nd she said it was her mom and dad ...i hv no clue wot i thot of ...at that moment ...but i went to meet her mom and dad ...who were sittin and making more such balloons near the signal ...besides the dividers ...
balloons ...the air pump ...lying down ... the thread with which they were tying it ...a paper cutter ... they were just so busy ...doing their work ...a small industry of their own ...then i told her dad ...that he had an amazing art ...and he started telling me...dat the " girl and boy " idea was his wife's .. dat mann ..he was jus so proud ..abt his wifes creativity..he gave all the credit to his wife ..he could possibly just go on and on...and she was jus blushing ..( this is unlike what i feel the scenario is .. in general ..the men would not go ahead givin the credit solely to da women ...but women most of the times would ...) i mean ...i felt strange abt myself ...that i never thot ..that these people though have the worst life possible...they also must be loving each other as much as ne1 like us wud ... its strange ...but i jus never felt that love plays exactly equal role in der lives too ... they loved each other and they loved their life ...one could easily see that ...they were so happy .. i mean that gave me goosebumps ...it was quite magical ... the feeling ...i jus wished both of them ...happy valentines day ...nd ...they smiled back ... they cud relate to my eyes ...if not words ... when i was leaving ... i bought the balloon ...which i generally wouldnt hv done ...but jus felt like it ...n i gifted it to the little girl ...shook hands with her ...as she said ..." happy balentaai day " ( probably even worse version of the same) i knew that she did not know what Valentine meant...neither cud she say it properly .. nd she knew that i knew this ... but it was jus another moment ... when a smile broke all the barriers .. i kno m not sayin nethin new ..but it kind of reassured to me... that love has no bounds ...no limitations .. absolutely ...!!
PRITI
Aniruddha, u manage to touch some cord of the heart with things like these...Before talking about the couple I would first like to appreciate what u did...i am sure many people must've bought those balloons but none would have gone to meet the artists themselves....and only 'matured eyes' can see beauty where u did.About the couple, they might be poor and devoid of many things but they r immensely rich in love. I wonder if one values the emotional bonds more when one has little in the pocket...its easy to buy someone a gift but it takes love to make someone feel special.
